Designated Flight Examiner Testing

Our CEO Charlie Marais is one of a hand full of Instructors in South Africa who holds the post as a Grade I Designated Flight Examiner on both Fixed Wing Aircraft and Helicopters as appointed by the SACAA for the testing of PPL, CPL and ATPL flight tests. He is also one of very few FI-DFE Instructors in the country on both Fixed Wing Aircraft and Helicopters allowing him to conduct initial Flight Instructors Tests as well as Renewals. This makes it very convenient for the student in that he does not have to invest additional time or cost to travel to a location where the appropriate testing can be conducted. It is also difficult to get slots with external DFE’s considering the few selected examiners qualified for this testing across the country while our own students enjoy perseverance.
